Welcome to the OPS School Council website. The purpose of this site is to keep interested parents and community members up to date with activities at Osgoode Public School.

What Does School Council Do?

There are 4 main goals of School Council.  These are

  1. to develop a strong relationship between home, school and the wider community;
  2. to enhance educational opportunities for all students;
  3. to promote an environment that helps all students develop to their full potential; and
  4. to provide advice to the principal and, as appropriate, to the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, on the development and implementation of policies, programs and services affecting the school.

What Can you Do?

School Council always welcomes new parents.  Some parents attend every meeting, while others are only able to attend a few.  Several parents are active with our fundraising efforts, while others participate in a single event.  If you are interested in helping out or staying connected with the school, there is always room on School Council.
